For Founders
Spend More Time Building. Less Time Fundraising.
Investors want proof before they commit. But generating that proof takes funding. NextRound Philanthropy helps impact-driven companies connect milestone-based development needs with charitable capital through our donor-advised fund and investment partners.
You give through one of our donor-advised fund partners and receive a charitable acknowledgment for an eligible new gift. Approved portfolio investments provide funding for the companies’ development and growth.
No obligation–No sales pitch–No fees from you on the call.
Key Benefits of NRP Strategy
Your Giving. Their Innovation. A Greater Opportunity for Impact.
Supporting innovation through philanthropy doesn't have to be complicated. We work with charitable partners to connect eligible contributions with approved investments in companies developing solutions to important challenges.
Investors Want Evidence. Building That Evidence Requires Capital. For many founders, fundraising becomes a significant part of the job.
You prepare presentations, meet investors, answer questions, and explain your vision repeatedly. Yet even when investors are interested, the next step often depends on reaching another milestone.
“Show us the animal data.”
“Come back when the prototype has been tested.”
“We’d like to see a successful pilot.”
“Reach your first paying customers, and let’s talk again.”
The challenge: Investors want evidence before committing capital, while founders need capital to generate that evidence.
That gap can slow development, delay progress, and keep talented
teams focused on fundraising instead of building.
The Capital to Reach Your Next Milestone.
What if the next stage of your company's development could be supported by donors who believe in the impact your solution can create?
NextRound Philanthropy works with donor-advised fund and investment partners to connect charitable capital with companies developing solutions to meaningful challenges.
Our team helps identify and explain specific funding needs, coordinate conversations with donors, and communicate progress against defined milestones.

Their principals and consultants have expertise in planned giving/major gifts, investment management, financial planning, risk management, real estate transactions, tangible personal property donations, emergency assistance funds, donor advised funds and actuarial consulting. PURPOSE
WHAT does NRP do?
NRP helps you fund your passions with tax deductible contributions.
At NextRound Philanthropy (NRP), we empower you to turn your passions into meaningful impact. By using Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), we offer a flexible and tax-deductible way to invest in startups that are addressing real-world challenges in healthcare, climate, and technology.
With NRP, you maintain full control over where your contributions go, ensuring they align with the issues that matter most to you. Instead of simply donating, you’re helping fund practical solutions that can make a tangible difference in areas that truly need support.
WHY does NRP matter?
You can get your tax deduction and have impact.
ABOUT US
Transformational and not transactional -- this is a new form of impact philanthropy.
In today’s evolving philanthropic landscape, Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are revolutionizing the way companies grow and investors give. DAFs offer a flexible, tax-efficient solution for funding high-impact businesses while ensuring donors maintain control over their contributions.
Traditional charity models often have high overhead costs, reducing the portion of donations that reach the intended cause. Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) offer a more efficient alternative by enabling contributions of assets—stocks, cash, or securities—while providing immediate tax benefits. Most importantly, donors retain control over the timing and allocation of their funds, ensuring their contributions have a direct and meaningful impact across critical sectors.
How It Works
You directly fund the Innovator of your choice who then issues you securities, which you in turn donate to a Donor Advised Fund for your full tax deduction.
-
Fund Innovators:
Your 501(c)(3) contributes funds to innovative companies tackling transformative challenges. -
Gain Ownership:
Contributions translate into ownership stakes, ensuring your foundation reaps returns. -
Realize Returns:
When companies succeed, your foundation benefits financially, allowing you to reinvest in future philanthropy.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
True progress and innovation comes at the hands of entrepreneurs NOT bureaucracies or governments.
- Stop expecting cancer to be cured by the NIH or any charitable organization.
- Climate change will not be halted or reversed by government mandates alone.
- These problems will be solved with contributions from entrepreneurs.
- AND we have figured out how you can get the IRS to help YOU participate in the solutions.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
You want to solve a problem?
Want to send less money to Washington D.C.?
Harness the endless energy and creative spirit of the entrepreneurial class.
If the last 200 years of economic history have taught us anything, it’s that invention and practical solutions come out of the private sector – the for profit private sector.
To have an impact we think the best way is to partner with an entrepreneur not a professional fundraiser who’s not really changing much.
FACT: Charities receive almost $500 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR and on average less that 80 cents on the dollar actually go to the cause.
FACT: The engine of innovation in the USA is being starved of capital as firms become more risk averse
FACT: You can make the IRS your non-dilutive co-investor by following their rules.
So what can you do?
That’s where NRP comes into play.
We can listen to what you truly want to put your annual charitable dollars towards, and build a vehicle to do exactly that and ensure that you get the same charitable tax deduction you always do.
THE FINE PRINT.
THE FINE PRINT.

Questions about giving
Think of a donor-advised fund, or DAF, as a savings account for charitable giving. DAFs have been around for decades. You donate, receive a tax receipt for an eligible new gift, and the money stays in the account for charitable use.
We work with Neta Foundation and other donor-advised fund and investment partners. Through approved investments, charitable funds can support impact companies. Any investment proceeds flow back into the charitable account to support more companies or grants to charities.
A donor-advised fund partner reviews and approves the investments. The companies receive funding on agreed financing terms to carry out their plans. NextRound coordinates the portfolio and shares progress updates.

Yes. We review suggested companies to assess whether we can help.
Yes. We help coordinate a grant to a participating donor-advised fund partner, subject to both sponsors’ requirements.
The donor-advised fund partner receiving your gift issues a charitable acknowledgment for eligible new contributions. A grant from an existing DAF does not create a second personal deduction.
They return to the charitable account to support further approved investments or grants. They remain dedicated to charitable use.
We explain applicable fees, compensation arrangements, and contribution requirements before you commit.
